NFL Corridor of Famer and Chicago Bears legend Dick Butkus died final month of a stroke, in line with a dying certificates obtained by TMZ Sports activities.
Butkus died on October 5 at his residence in Malibu, California. Coincidentally (or maybe not), the Bears obtained their first win of the season on the identical evening Butkus died.

In response to TMZ Sports activities, the dying certificates lists the reason for dying as “cerebral accident,” also referred to as stroke.
Different contributing causes had been listed, together with atrial fibrillation, persistent excessive ldl cholesterol, and atherosclerosis.

Butkus performed for the Bears all through his profession spanning from 1965 to 1973. Butkus is a five-time first group All-Professional and eight-time Professional Bowler. He was named to the Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame All-Sixties Workforce, the Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame All-Seventies Workforce, the NFL 100 All-Time Workforce, and was a 1979 inductee into the Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame.
